Thought since it has been so long since I have been on CovenSpace, it was time to post a little update. I have recently found out that I have an editor reading my novel right now and I have a "tentative" May release date with Phaze publishing this next year in 2008. So very excited about that, let me tell ya...
Also, I have a cover artist! I saw a post of hers in the Phaze Yahoo group about how she is one of their cover artists now and I checked out her portfolio over at Deviant Art and really liked what I saw. She is very talented. I messaged her and she got my cover!!!! Oh, rapture. And for anyone who may be interested in looking into her art:
I submitted my manuscript to Phaze Publishing (an eBook publisher) a while back and got a reply asking if the book was still available. I replied saying that it was. So the next day, I get another e-mail asking if I wanted to see a contract. And I do very much!!!
So Phaze wants my book for a 2008 release!!!
I am so excited about this!!! Talk about dreams coming true!! It really does look like I am going to be a published author sometime next year. Nothing is truly "certain" yet as nothing has been signed but it looks very good to me. I have heard only good things about Phaze Publishing and am confident I will be pleased with what I read in the contract.
I feel so blessed to not only have been gifted with the ability to create these stories but also to have the opportunity to share them with readers!
A good friend of mine, James (a.k.a. Death Lynx) helped me find my Pagan name tonight! The name I chose a while back just DID NOT fit me. There was no recognition in me with that particular name. I had apparently just been trying too hard to find a name and just settled with one I liked and represented me to a point. Not good enough...We happened to get on the topic of magickal names and I mentioned that mine was not right. I wanted a name to reflect the writer in me and also to represent my spirit guide (he's a black wolf). James thought of "Shadowquill" and I immediately adored it for a surname! Then all I needed was a first name. We started thinking of a name with "wolfish" qualities to suit my guide and myself. I finally thought of the Gaelic name "Faolan" (pronounced 'FAY-lawn'), meaning "little wolf". It's typically a boy's name but my zodiac (Aries) and spirit guide are both masculine, so why not? At last I have my name! As soon as it was put together, I KNEW it was right. I felt so excited and my hands were shaking! I felt as if I were about to come out of my skin! And so now I have three names: Mundane - Amanda, Pseudonym (Pen Name) - Jae Knight, and Pagan - Faolan Shadowquill. Blessed Be!

Greetings, my name is Jae Knight. I am a writer of poetry and Paranormal Romance/Erotica novels. I am, as of this day, still unpublished but I have two literary agents looking at my manuscript. I am also happily engaged to the man I have shared the last six and a half years of my life with (our seventh anniversary is this April 28th, 2007).
I am an eclectic Pagan and a solitary practitioner. I know no other Pagans around here so joining a coven isn't really available to me at this point. I have been out of the "broom closet" for a mere few months. I'm open enough about my religion to most people but opening up to any of my family besides my Mom is still something I need to work on...My family is Southern Baptist and I am the only one in our family that is not Christian. I'm very close to my family but I worry that they will not accept this part of me. That they will look at me with pity or shame. For the most part, my family is wonderful and quite open-minded but the topic of religion is the touchiest subject around...
Enough about me. I'll end this blog post here before I go on too long. I will likely post some poetry here soon enough. I hope you'll like it! Merry Meet!
